Negotiations on the universities’ collective agreement continued on 25th March

Negotiations on the collective agreement for some 35,000 university employees continued on Tuesday, 25th March.

This week, negotiations on the new collective agreement will take place on several days, and the parties will meet again on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

The general collective agreement for universities is valid until the end of March. Until then, negotiations will be held with the aim of achieving a good negotiation result for university employees.

If the university sector does not achieve a negotiation result by Monday, March 31, university staff and university employers will move to a non-contractual state (sopimukseton tila in Finnish) on Tuesday, April 1.

The members of Akava unions represented by JUKO work at universities in such areas as research, teaching, administration and management.
