Negotiations for the collective agreement of approximately 35,000 university employees continued on Friday, 28th March.
The parties will meet next time on Monday, 31st March. That is also when the current agreement period comes to an end. Until then, negotiations will be held with the aim of achieving a good negotiation result for university employees.
The negotiations started on 4th February.
There are 13 universities in Finland, with some 35,000 employees. Members of Akava unions represented by JUKO work at universities in such areas as research, teaching, administration and management.

What is JUKO?
- JUKO, the Negotiation Organization for Public Sector Professionals, negotiates collective agreements on behalf of, and thus represents, 200,000 members of 35 Akava member unions.
- JUKO bargains collectively on behalf of employees and officials of the municipalities, well-being services counties, the state, universities and the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland, as well as in Yritysjaosto, the National Gallery and the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
