The employee representatives in the general collective agreement for universities, JUKO, Trade Union Pro and Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors JHL, work closely together both during the collective agreement period and in the negotiations.
One example of this cooperation is the “We are the university” theme, which emphasises the importance and unity of university staff. It highlights the central role of employees in teaching, research and administration and their contribution to the success of the university community. It also symbolises the collective identity of university staff. The theme is used in particular in collective bargaining and organisational activities, with the aim of enhancing staff esteem and strengthening the sense of community in the university sector.
